Hospitals denying to treat patients to be punished

Kathmandu - Chief Minister of Bagmati, Dormani Poudel, has said that action would be taken against the hospital denying treatment to patients under different pretexts. Issuing a statement on Thursday, Chief Minister Poudel mentioned that it was necessary to see hospitals from the point of pure humanitarian service, wiping out the commercial mindset. He expressed sadness over the senseless activities and act against humanity of such hospitals, while directing the hospital management to change their behaviors. Lauding the role playing by health workers in this situation surfaced due to COVID-19, the Chief Minister thanked health workers and security personnel for their activeness in round-the-clock duty for preventing coronavirus. “News about people suffering for not getting treatment in some private hospital hurts me. I request to all concerned to correct themselves and continue their services as in the past. The Bagmati state will carry out investigation and take action against such hospitals under its jurisdiction”, reads the statement.
