Minister of State for Irrigation Pun inspects projects in Saptari

Saptari - Minister of State for Irrigation Amar Singh Pun today inspected various irrigation projects destroyed in the flooding that occurred in the second week of August and took stock of the damage incurred by the projects. 

He also held consultations with technicians and experts in the related field on reconstructing or repairing the damaged projects. 

Following the inspection, he directed chief of the projects to make budget estimate required to repair the damaged projects, and provide compensation for the damage, and sent it to the Department of Irrigation and Irrigation Ministry. 

Property worth approximately Rs 430 million was damaged when Khado Khola Project, and a canal constructed by the District Irrigation Development Division were destroyed in the disaster.
