Bill presented in Gandaki State SA

Pokhara–In a session of State Assembly of Gandaki State today, a bill relating to the establishment and operation of Gandaki State Academy of Science and Technology was presented.

State minister for industry, tourism, forest and environment Bikash Lamsal tabled the bill. Speaking in the special hour of the meeting, SA member Rajib Pahari drew the government's attention towards the completion of physical infrastructures under the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

Pokhara hosted nine games under the regional mega sports competition, he said, seeking the proper care, and utilisation of the structures built for the specific purposes.

Meena Gurung sought the operation of health camps in the rural and village areas so as to ensure their rights to health. "Geographical remoteness is a challenge to ensure citizen's right to health," she said. Another member Dhanamaya Lama demanded public holiday on cultural festivals which as she said are the identities of diversified Nepal.

The SA shall meet again at 1:00 pm of January 26, said Speaker Netranath Adhikari.
