NCP getting popularity: leader Nepal

Kathmandu–The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the party was getting popularity.

While speaking in an event organized by the Pushpalal Memorial Foundation on the 25th Annual general meeting here today, leader Nepal also chair of the foundation, said that the party founded by the founder secretary general Pushpa Lal Shrestha has faced various ups and down and has remained successful in meeting public aspirations these days.

The party now has become a reliable friend of people and working to materialize then party manifesto released by the party, Nepal said. "Our main responsibility at this point of time is to realise people's aspirations for change. Fulfiling this responsibility is a true condolence to Shrestha," he said.

On the occasion, the Foundation's General Secretary Ganga Lal Tuladhar presented a work report. The Foundation is set to publish an authentic biography of Pushpa Lal in next year and a historic photo collection featuring photos of incidents from party establishment and its all party general conventions, construct a life-size statue of Pushpa Lal at Bhangeri in Ramechhap district and publish sixth collection of documents of communist movements and a magazine, a mouthpiece of the NCP, said the Foundation's Secretary Bishnu Rijal.
