Health Minister calls for depoliticizing health sector

Chitwan– Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has called for depoliticizing health facilities as hospital which provides direct services to the people.

During his visit to the Bharatpur Hospital today, the Minister who assumed office recently urged people concerned to do given roles by rising above personal interest. Stating that he heard that politics had influenced the hospital service delivery, he said his efforts would be for the prevention of such undue influence.

He was aware that administrative expenses in the health sector was high and he was committed to its reduction. The 600-bed hospital provided treatment to over 350 thousand people annually, according to hospital Information Officer Leeladhar Poudel.
