Maximum facilities should be given to private sector: State Minister Dugad

Kathmandu–Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Motilal Dugad, said that maximum facilities should be provided to industrialists and entrepreneurs of private sector.

Talking to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) at his office, State Minister Dugad expressed the view that that government should welcome private sector by rolling out red carpet for the investment at a time when the country has been moving ahead towards the path of prosperity.

He said, "An environment conducive has been created to invest capital, which will help to establish industries and create employment. Poverty can be alleviated if employment is created. Economy can be made self-reliant."

The State Minister further said that the Industry Ministry is the guardian of private sector and it has responsibility to grant permission to run industry and enterprises, promote it, protect it, as well as carry out market regulations and monitoring, adding that the Ministry would even play coordinative role with other ministers for the same.

He said, "It is necessary to promote industries and enterprises in the country to implement national goal forwarded by KP Sharma Oli-led government ' Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.

Stressing the need of promoting import-oriented productions by increasing domestic productions and products to decrease trade deficit, State Minister Dugad laid emphasis on running special economic zone in all seven states.

He said that maximum efforts would be made to increase investment in agro, tourism, forest, hydropower sectors and to run business.
