Late Dixit, Adhikari to be honoured with 'Mahaujjwal Rastradip award'

Kathmandu–President Bidya Devi Bhandari will honour people from various walks of life with various awards on the occasion of Constitution Day, it has been announced.

On the recommendations of the government, 'Mahaujjwal Rastradip (First Class) award' will be provided posthumously to litterateur Madan Mani Dixit and the then Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Prasad Adhikari.

Likewise, 'Prabal Janasewashree (First Class) award' will be given posthumously to tourism entrepreneur Ang Tshering Sherpa. Prof Dr Dibya Singh Shah, Chief Justice Cholendra Prasad Rana and five foreign professors will also be honoured with the award.

Kashiraj Dahal, chairperson of the implementation committee of the High Level Administrative Reforms Commission, will be awarded 'Ujjwal Kirtimaya Rastradip (Second Class) award', according to the President's Office.

Similarly, as many as 634 people from various walks of life will also be honoured on the occasion.
