Bhaktapur–Police have arrested a man for allegedly raping his wife. Acting on a complaint of his wife Sabitri (name changed) registered at Metropolitan Police Range Bhaktapur, police arrested hubby Mohan (name changed) on Thursday.
Rewati Raman Pokharel, Deputy Superintendant of Police, said the 30-year-old husband, who is currently residing in Changunarayan municipality-8, Jeetpur and a permanent resident of Ramechhap, was arrested after his wife lodged a complaint of rape. DSP Pokharel informed that the couple who were tied in a nuptial knot 10 years ago also has a eight-year-old son.
The medical test of the wife was carried out at Thapathali-based Maternity Hospital for investigation, police said. Likewise, preparation is being made to get the husband's health examined today and to produce him before the court. Afterward, further investigation will be undertaken, Pokharel said.
