Nepal-India Joint Commission meeting today

Kathmandu–The fifth meeting of Nepal-India Joint Commission is commencing in the central capital today. The meeting to be focused on strengthening the bilateral economic understanding will dwell on in-depth discussions about further consolidating the Nepal-India ties and utilising it for the support of Nepal's economic growth.

The meeting going to take place after three years will review the entire situation of bilateral relations and make optimum efforts to further expand the bilateral connectivity and increase the level of mutual trust, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Review of agreements and treaties reached between the two countries and in- depth discussion about Nepal-India multidimensional relations are other agenda of the meeting which will see the exchange of views on several topics such as bilateral political relation, border and security, economic assistance and infrastructures, trade and transport, energy and water resources and culture and education.
