Social transformation should be focused on development - State 3 Chief Minister

Chitwan–State 3 chief minister Dormani Poudel has insisted that collaboration among the three-tier government was required for the development.

Inaugurating the Sanitation and Greenery Promotion Programme amidst a ceremony here today, he was of the view of including social transformation as one of the major indicators of development.

He also underlined the need of connecting development with the prosperity. "Sanitation and greenery promotion remain as one of the parts of social change," the chief minister said.

He utilised the moment to call on the main opposition Nepali Congress to take a partnership in the government efforts for development. "Development is for all," he said.

According to him, the development endevours could not be expedited as the concept of development is not clear.

State Assembly member Bijay Subedi shared that in the last fiscal year, 65 thousand nursery plants of fruits and flowers were planted in Chitwan Constituency 2 (B) and the greenery promotion remained as one of the priorities of the state government and Rs five million has been allocated for the same.

Trees transplantation, urban biogas plant, water purification and waste management have been focused under the campaign, it is said.
