Singapore wins today's match under ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament

Kathmandu–Singapore has won today's match under ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament that began from today in Malaysia.

Singapore won the match defeating China by eight wickets. Elected to bat first after losing toss, China made 28 runs, losing all wickets in 23 overs. Chasing the target posted by China, Singapore met the target in 6.5 overs by losing two wickets.

Sai Harsh Venugopal of China remained not out at 15 runs while Binit Chetes Mehata scored 11 runs. Tiyan Sen Kun of China took two wickets. Before this, seven batsmen of China were out without scoring.

Binit Chetes Mahata alone took seven wickets to limit China in a low score. A total of seven countries have been participating in the Tournament where Nepal, China and Singapore are in Group 'A' while the host Malaysia, Bhutan, Hong Kong and Thailand are in Group 'B'. The winner of this tournament would get to play in the U-19 Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka.
